Pursuant to the powers vested in the Honourable Minister under the Companies and Allied Matters Act and other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment has approved a Third Amendment to the Companies Regulation 2012 as follows :
REGULATION 3 shall now read as follows:
HOURS OF TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS AND SERVICE DELIVERY PERIOD
3 (a) The hours of transaction of business with the public shall be from 9am to 7pm in the Head office and such other offices as the Commission may designate.
- 1) Decision on Request for Name Approval – 12 hours from submission of request.
- 2) Consent for Restricted Names – 24 hours from submission of duly completed application.
- 3) Registration of Companies, Business Names and Incorporated Trustees-24 hours from submission of duly completed documents.
- 4) All Post Registration filings – 24 hours from submission of duly completed documents.
REGULATION 11 (2) shall now read as follows:
SUBMISSION OF ORIGINAL COPIES AFTER APPROVAL OF DOCUMENTS DELIVERED BY ELECTRONIC MEANS
11 (2) Where documents are delivered for filing by electronic means, the Commission shall approve the application without the necessity of sighting the original documents provided all requirements have been complied with and may require the original documents to be delivered thereafter either personally or by post.
