PUBLIC NOTICE – PARTICULARS OF CHARGES

Please be informed that pursuant to the Secured Transaction in Movable Assets Act (STMA Act 2017) and in strict compliance with the provisions of Section 2(1)(c) of the same Act, customers who are desirous of registering their charges with the  Commission shall be required to accompany the FORM CAC8 with the following additional information.

  1. Serial number or Chassis number of the collateral (Motor Vehicle, Plane, Boats, Plants and machinery etc.)
  2. BVN of the Business Owners/Board of Directors
  3. Moveable assets Used
  4. High level description of the moveable assets used.

Please note that these requirements apply to Moveable assets only and shall take effect on 3rd April, 2018.

PUBLIC NOTICE – BREAKDOWN OF ACCREDITATION PROCESSING SOFTWARE

This is to inform our esteemed customers that the software used in processing accreditation ID cards is currently faulty.

As a result, the Commission has not been able to process and issue accreditation cards to our dear customers.

In order to ameliorate this challenge, accreditation numbers assigned to already processed applications are being made available to customers to create their accounts. Also the receipt of payment can be used to gain access to our offices to enable customers carry out their transactions.

 The Commission is working assiduously to resolve the fault and ensure normal services is restored.

 We highly regret any inconveniences this may cause our customers and the general public.

In furtherance to its reform initiatives, the Corporate Affairs Commission has reviewed its Checklist and Guidelines. The Commission has also removed the requirement for Proficiency Certificate.

Under the new arrangement, members of the public do not have to submit Proficiency Certificate to the Commission for registration of Companies, Business Names and Incorporated Trustees.

The Commission remains committed to reviewing its processes to enhance service delivery.

PUBLIC NOTICE – REMINDER ON FORM CAC 1.1 AND REDUCTION OF FILING FEES

In continuation of its reform initiatives, the Corporate Affairs Commission wishes to remind esteemed Customers and the Public of the existence of Form CAC 1.1.

With the Form CAC 1.1 Forms CAC 2, CAC 2.1, CAC 3, CAC 4 & CAC 7 have been consolidated into one Form (CAC 1.1).

The new form has brought down the registration fee by N4, 000 from N6, 000 as Customers only have to pay the sum of N2, 000 for Certified True Copy (CTC) of the consolidated form CAC1.1.

The Commission remains committed to reviewing its processes to ensure ease of doing business.

PUBLIC NOTICE – New Highly Privileged Mentee Companies (HPMCs)

The Corporate Affairs Commission and National Mentorship Office under the National Expatriate Mentorship Strategy (NEMS) have introduced; the Highly Privileged Mentee Companies (HPMCs) for enrollment from at least 10,000 Mentorship Communities within States, Local Government Areas and Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria.

The Highly Privileged Mentee Companies (HPMCs) was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) in line with Federal Government’s agenda of radically improving service delivery, investment climate and promoting Sustainable Economic Development in Nigeria.

Prospective Nigerian entrepreneurs who are desirous of operating Highly Privileged Small and Medium Enterprise with robust support of the Federal Government of Nigeria are required to seek and obtain clearance after a compulsory Mentorship Development Support at accredited Mentorship Engagement Centres nationwide.

The Corporate Affairs Commission currently regulates the registration of Mentee Companies and Mentee Private Equity Funds to the exclusive use of the Highly Privileged Mentee Companies (HPMCs) as business names or limited Liability Companies to ensure that prospective companies are pre-qualified and equipped as:

Accordingly, all new applications for registration are concluded within 24 Hours except applications that have been queried for non-compliance with laid down requirements. To eliminate incidence of queries, our valued customers and the general public are advised to carefully go through the Registration Guidelines/Check Lists available on the Commission’s website: www.cac.gov.ng
Furthermore, our valued customers and the general public are advised to check their mails and Status Page on the Commission`s Portal for result of all their applications.

PUBLIC NOTICE – COST OF BUSINESS NAMES REGISTRATION REMAINS N10,500

The attention of the Commission has been drawn to a publication in the DAILY TRUST Newspaper of Friday, 27th July, 2018 and other media sources to the effect that the Commission has reduced the cost of Business Names registration from N10,500 to N5,500. This is neither true nor accurate.

The Commission wishes to inform our esteemed customers and members of the public that the cost of Business Names registration remains N10,500 made up of N500 for name reservation and N10,000 filing fee.

The public is hereby advised to disregard any such publication as the cost of Registration of Business Names has not changed.

INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF GOODS AND SMALL WORKS

  • INTRODUCTION

The Corporate Affairs Commission was established by the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) of 1990 to regulate and supervise the formation, incorporation, registration, management and winding of companies in Nigeria.

The Corporate Affairs Commission intends to undertake the procurement of goods and small works. Interested contracting firms are hereby invited to tender for the following item:

  • DESCRIPTION OF THE SUPPLY

  • ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS

Prospective bidders must possess the under-listed requirements to be eligible to participate in this procurement:-

  1. Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including Form CAC2 and CAC7;
  2. Evidence of payment of up to date Annual Returns to Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC);
  3. Evidence of Company’s Income’s Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2015, 2016 & 2017) valid till 31st December, 2018.
  4. Evidence of Current Pension Clearance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2018;
  5. Evidence of current Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2018;
  6. Evidence of current National Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2018;
  7. Evidence of Registration on the National Database of Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by inclusion of Interim Registration Report (IRR) issued by the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) expiring in June 2018;
  8. A sworn affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant committees of the Corporate Affairs Commission or the Bureau of Public Procurement is a former or present Director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and to confirm that all information presented in its bid are true and correct in all particulars;
  9. Lists of Plants/Equipment with proof of Ownership/Lease where applicable
  10. Company’s Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years (2015, 2016, 2017);
  11. Evidence of financial capability to execute the project including Reference Letter from a reputable commercial bank indicating willingness to provide credit facility for the execution of the project when needed;
  12. Company Profile with the Curriculum Vitae of Key Staff to be deployed for the project, including copies of their Academic/Professional qualifications For construction COREN,QSRBN,CORSON ARCON:
  13. Verifiable documentary evidence of at least three (3) similar jobs executed in the last five (5) years including Letters of Awards and Job Completion Certificates;
  14. For Joint Venture/Partnership, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) should be provided;
  15. All documents for submission must be transmitted with a Covering/Forwarding letter under the Company/Firm’s Letter Head Paper bearing amongst others, the Registration Number (RC) as issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Contact Address, Telephone Number (preferably GSM No.) and e-mail address. The Letterhead Paper must bear the Names and Nationalities of the Directors of the company at the bottom of the page, duly signed by the authorized officer of the firm;

4.0 COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS

Interested companies are to collect the Standard Bidding Document (SBD) from the office of Director, Procurement located on the 5th floor of the main office building of Plot 420, Tigris Crescent, Maitama, Abuja on evidence of payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira Only (N10,000.00) paid into the Corporate Affairs Commission  Remitta account in any commercial bank.

  • SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS

Prospective bidders are to submit bid in two (2) hard copies each of the technical and financial bids with soft copy of financial bid only in MS Excel format, packaged separately in sealed envelopes and clearly marked as “Technical Bid” or Financial Bid”. Thereafter, put the two sealed envelopes together in a bigger sealed envelope addressed to The Registrar General, Corporate Affairs Commission, Plot 420 Tigris Crescent, Maitama, Abuja and clearly marked Rectification of General Leakages in the Commission’s Head Office (LOT 1). Furthermore, the reverse of each sealed envelope should have the name and address of the bidder and dropped in the designated Tender Box at The Registrar General’s Office, 6th Floor  Corporate Affairs Commission, Plot 420 Tigris Crescent, Maitama, Abuja not later than 2.00pm (Nigerian Time) on Tuesday, 16th  October, 2018.

 

  • OPENING OF BID

The technical bids will be opened immediately after the deadline for submission at 2.00pm (Nigerian Time) on Tuesday, 16th October, 2018 at the Commission’s Multi-Purpose Hall, 2nd Floor, Plot 420, Tigris Crescent, Off Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama Abuja in the presence of bidders or their representatives, while the Financial bids will be kept un-opened. Please, ensure that you sign the Bid Submission Register in the office of The Registrar General’s, 6th Floor Corporate Affairs Commission, Plot 420 Tigris Crescent, Maitama, Abuja, as the Corporate Affairs Commission will not be held liable for misplaced or wrongly submitted bids.   • GENERAL INFORMATION
  1. Bidders shall not bid for more than one (1) LOT. Any Bidder who bids for more than one (1) Lot shall automatically be disqualified
  2. Bids must be in English Language and signed by an official authorized by the bidder;
  3. Bids submitted after the deadline for submission would be returned un-opened;
  4. All costs will be borne by the bidders;
  5. All pre-qualified bidders will be contacted at a later date for financial bid opening, while bids of un-successful bidders will be returned un-opened;
  6. The Corporate Affairs Commission is not bound to pre-qualify any bidder and reserves the right to annul the Procurement process at any time without incurring any liabilities in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Procurement Act 2007

The Commission wishes to inform members of the Public that Polaris Bank Limited, RC 1525101 has been duly registered by the Commission, with banking services as its main object.

In view of the foregoing, the suggestion that Polaris Bank Limited is not registered is not correct. It is erroneous and misleading.

The public is enjoined to disregard such media report.

REDUCTION OF COST OF BUSINESS NAMES REGISTRATION BY 50%

In an effort to deepen the benefits of its reform initiatives, the Corporate Affairs Commission has reduced the cost of Registration of Business Names from N10,000 to N5,000 after the Name Reservation of N500, with effect from the 1st October to 31st December, 2018.

The Business Incentive Strategy is aimed at creating a window for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to formalize their businesses, which will enable them own corporate account with Banks, have access to Loans, grants and other government interventions.

Members of the public are enjoined to take advantage of this window, to register their Business Names at the reduced cost of N5,000 after the Name Reservation of N500.
